Training
OAR is excited to partner with the Chicago Area Runners Association again this year, offering RUN FOR AUTISM-Chicago team members the opportunity to train with knowledgeable CARA coaches and staff. Since its start in 1989, CARA has helped more than 25,000 runners complete the 26.2 mile course of the Chicago Marathon and other fall races. They've helped thousands of aspiring marathoners and seasoned veterans make it to the finish line. OAR will cover the costs of the 18-week marathon program for any RUN FOR AUTISM participants who raise a minimum of $500.
Fundraising
OAR requires participants in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon who have already purchased registration through the official Bank of America Chicago Marathon website to raise $250. Participants who purchase an entry to the race through OAR after the race sold out have a fundraising minimum of $1000. Regardless of registration type, all OAR runners will receive a fundraising agreement, which they are responsible for completing and returning to OAR staff.
If you have questions, contact RUN FOR AUTISM Director Lily Matusiak.
