How to Join the Team

Joining the team is a two step process:

1. Purchase your entry for the event through OAR by visiting www.firstgiving.com/OAR and clicking the "Get Started" button. Select "Historic Half Marathon and Semper Fred 5K" from the list of events and proceed through the registration process. The Charity Registration fees are:

Half Marathon - $75.00

5K - $30.00

2. Follow the instructions on provided on firstgiving to create your personal fundraising page.

Once your fundraising reaches $50.00, you will be sent an OAR Runner's Kit. This kit includes the RUN FOR AUTISM t-shirt, specially designed race shirt and OAR information and fundraising material.

 

Fundraising

OAR requires participants in the Historic Half Marathon to raise a minimum of $350. Participants in the 5K are required to raise $100. Runners have historically averaged raising between $1,500 and $2,000. Runners who raise $2,500 or more receive a special gift of recognition for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

 

Event Information

The Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon will be held May 16, 2010 in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia. Run the streets where the nation's first president lived as a boy and the North and South came face to face in battle. For more information, visit http://www.marinecorpshistorichalf.com.
