Want your FREE entry to the race?

Register with an OAR here and selecting the "Need Race Entry" option. OAR will then register YOU for your complimentary race entry. Runners receiving their race entry through OAR will commit to a $600 fundraising minimum.

Already have your entry?

Runners who secured their own race entry at the offical race website can join the OAR team by signing up at http://www.firstgiving.com/OAR/rock-n-roll-chicago-half-marathon and committing to a $250 fundraising minimum. Be sure to select the "Have Race Entry" option when registering with OAR.

Want to run the "Chicago Double"?

Join the RUN FOR AUTISM for the 2012 Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon and the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon?  Register to do the "Chicago Double" today! When committing to a $1400 fundraising minimum, OAR will purchase your Rock 'n' Roll Chicago entry for you and you will receive one of OAR's charity entries into the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for the discounted price of $100. By doing the double, you will receive membership to the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) for your Bank of America Chicago Marathon training purposes.

Fundraising

OAR requires participants in the Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon who have already purchased registration through the official race website to raise $250. Participants who receive FREE entry to the race through OAR have a fundraising minimum of $600.

OAR encourages all runners to set a fundraising goal of at least $1250.

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) is a national, nonprofit organization formed and led by relatives of children and adults with autism and Asperger Syndrome. OAR is dedicated to promoting research that can be applied to help families, educators, caregivers, and individuals with autism find much-needed answers to their immediate and urgent questions. Committed to the excellence in its services to the autism community, OAR funds applied research that will make a difference in individual lives; provides information that is timely, useful, and cost-efficient; and offers opportunities for the autism community to collaborate and make advances together.
