WAYS TO HELP

A charity like OAR doesn’t succeed on its own.  We rely on people’s generosity, time, and assistance to help fund research studies, produce and distribute our Life Journey through Autism resource guides, host our annual conference, and support the rest of OAR’s research and information programs.  If you would like to help, here are some ideas:

• Make a donation.  The most immediate and direct method.  86.4 cents of every dollar you contribute funds the programs you see on this site.
• Volunteer.  OAR always has a need for people with time, talent, and muscle. 
• RUN FOR AUTISM. You don’t have to run a marathon!  You can walk, do a fun run, or complete a triathlon.  It’s not about the distance.
• Pick a favorite runner.  Support the RUN FOR AUTISM by raising money in support of a runner.  Find an autism Mom or Dad, someone from your state, active duty service men and women, and more. View runners list.
• Other athletic pursuits.  SWIM/BIKE/HIKE/ETC. FOR AUTISM.  If running isn’t your thing, do something you like!  OAR has the fundraising tools that will work for you.
• Host your own event.  Have a “party with a purpose” where guests make donations in lieu of gifts.  This can work for virtually any occasion.
• Come up with your own idea, and contact OAR.
